Growing In Christian Faith
Confirmation is an important part of the ministry of Education at St. Peter. Parents promise at Holy Baptism that they will see to the ongoing education of their children so that they may continue their growth in Christ.
The 2009 - 2010 Confirmation Classes will center on the Small Catechism of Martin Luther. Luther's Catechism is a handbook for Christian life and service. Learning from the Catechism helps the young adult build a solid foundation for later life. Students in the seventh and eigth grade attend two years of instruction on the Bible and the Catechism. Once they have completed this instruction, they come before the congregation to make public affirmation of their baptismal faith.
