Spring Fling

2007 Spring Fling for the Young at Heart - What a Success!

On Sunday, March 25th couples enjoyed another Spring Fling. This year, those attending were between the ages of 40 and 60. The Hall was decorated with lanterns and white lights. Tables were set with extra care as several WELCA women shared their personal china and formal place settings for the event.

Couples enjoyed a social time prior to the meal. They were able to enjoy a glass of soda while reminiscing about the days of disco and bellbottom pants.

A delicious meal of carrots, Italian chicken breasts, and cheesy hash browns was served at 7 p.m. accompanied by a refreshing fruit cup. Brownie Delight Sundaes topped with whipped cream and cherries were enjoyed for dessert.

Bill Christensen played M.C. for the evening and helped guests complete a very unique crossword puzzle. A slideshow featuring graduation photos of each person attending brought added laughter and opportunities to “remember when”.

As the evening concluded, guests were given a CD of special music from their HS eras as well as a photo.
